Crawford Hall
Opened in 1965 to house science departments,
Crawford Hall underwent a $23 million renovation and expansion begun
in 1998 and completed in 2000. Among the renovations are award-winning
classrooms for biology, chemistry, geology, physics, and nursing. There's
also a greenhouse, the Ben Long Planetarium, and the Kemp Mineral Resources
Museum. Crawford is named for former LSSU chancellor Harry Crawford. College

360° View Outside Crawford Hall
On this crisp clear Autumn morning the sun peaks over crawford hall
with it's brick surface and impressive turret, from which bells
sound every day. Moving to the right you can see historic Brady
Hall, where the incoming fresmen will be housed for their
first year. Continuing to the right you see the Kenneth J. Shouldice library that houses the audio visual
and learning centers as well as study and reading materials accessable
to the whole of the student body.

"LSSU is a relatively small school and I believe for this reason I have received a better education. The close atmosphere as opposed to a larger university has provided me with an opportunity to become acquainted with my professors. The professors therefore have an opportunity to assist with problems fairly easily, especially in upper level classes. The classes are fairly small also which provides one on one conversations which is very helpful."
