Dr. LaJoie is from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. His term expires on January 27, 2012. He is an alumnus of LSSU and received an Honorary Doctorate in 2003. He has been the President and CEO of Central Savings Bank since 1985. In 1994, he was advanced to the Chair of the Board and CEO of the bank. He serves on executive and legislative committees for the Michigan Bankers Association and also served a three year term as director of the Federal Reserve Bank Board from 1999 to 2002. He serves locally on several boards including War Memorial Hospital, and United Way. In 2004, Dr. LaJoie was named The Michigan Bankers Association Banker of the Year.
