Frosty mornings, hockey team photo are harbingers of fall

GAME-FACE DAY – Lake Superior State University's NCAA Division I hockey team forms up for the traditional team photo on Sept. 8, in LSSU's Taffy Abel ice arena, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. The hockey season opens on Oct. 3 with an exhibition game against Nipissing, and sees seven of its first nine games at Taffy Abel Arena. The complete ticket package for 17 home games and the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Playoffs is $159. A Friday-only mini pack for eight regular-season games and one playoff game is $78; a Saturday-only mini pack including nine regular-season and one playoff game is $85. Ticket packages for students are $100 for 17 games and the playoffs, $43.25 for Friday-only and $47.50 for Saturday-only. Students age 18 and under are eligible for the discount packages.
