REDCOAT ON THE JOB – Jim Evans, a lead interpreter with Mackinac State Historic Parks, speaks of making history come alive for thousands of visitors to Straits-area park facilities each summer. He trains and supervises all re-enactors between mid-May and October. Evans and four park colleagues spoke to Lake Superior State University students on Jan. 27, looking to recruit this summer's employees and interns. Mackinac Straits Historic Parks considers LSSU to be its "home institution" and employs several Lake State alums on-staff.
