Redefining the Classroom

Very pleased to meet you, Engine 52

Posted: July 25th, 2012

HOW DO YOU DO, ENGINE 52 – Lake Superior State University fire science summer campers encounter all manner of bells and whistles during their tour of a fire engine in the Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., station on July 11. It is the fifth year that LSSU has offered a week's work of fire science activities for teens, under the auspices of University faculty and area firefighters. One of this year's instructors, Soo firefighter and LSSU alum Scott LaBonte, is shown here under Engine 52's side access door. (LSSU/John Shibley)
