Nursing alums at War Memorial want your vote

Posted: October 13th, 2012

BROADWAY BOUND? – Lake Superior State University School of Nursing alums flash pink surgical gloves in hopes of winning a national breast cancer awareness video contest. They joined more than 120 others at War Memorial Hospital to produce a homespun "Pink Glove" dance submission that is going head-to-head with other hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other organizations from throughout the U.S. and Canada. The top three winners, determined by viewer votes, receive donations in their name to a breast cancer charity of their choice, such as the American Cancer Society. Go to and look for War Memorial Hospital to view the video and pack the ballot box. Voting ends Nov. 2. Pictured from the left are Katie Wood, Andrea Pietrangelo, Carol Wolfe, Lindsey Gregg, Danielle Postma, Gen Mackie, James Vollick, Julie Coneset, Susan Sliger, and Jane McLeod. (LSSU/John Shibley)
