Students organize hockey tourney to help injured veterans

THREE-ON-THREE WARRIORS – Score a goal for the Wounded Warrior Project! Lake Superior State University students in Prof. Valerie Philips' Sports and Events Marketing class are hosting a 3-on-3 hockey tournament Nov. 3 at Taffy Abel Arena, with proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. Registration starts at 9 a.m., with the first game scheduled for 10 a.m. Tournament entry is $75 per team of 3-5 players and includes a tournament T-shirt. This is an all-day event, with each team guaranteed three games in either the competitive or recreational division.
