SOUTH HALL, POWERED BY HAAPALAS – The Haapala family – Ted, Andy, and Linda - presents a $25,000 check to help with the renovation of Lake Superior State University's South Hall. Accepting for LSSU's Foundation Office is executive director Tom Coates and Virginia Zinser, director of development. Soo Motors matched the Hapaala $12,500 gift; Ted and son Andy are, respectively, president and general manager of the Ford dealership in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. A seminar room on the upper level of South Hall will be named the Soo Motors, Inc./Ted and Linda Haapala Seminar Room in recognition of the contribution. “Our family is pleased to support LSSU and the School of Business in the further education of students interested in the business environment,” said Ted Haapala. “LSSU is an important part of our community and we are proud to contribute to its success.” Soo Motors, Inc., and the Haapalas have been generous donors to a number of initiatives and campaigns at the university.
