Criminal Justice professor to speak about personal safety

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State University's chapter of Students for Concealed Carry invites you to hear a presentation about personal safety on and off campus by Prof. Norm Jahn of the LSSU Criminal Justice program.

His presentation, which is open to the public, begins at 6 p.m. on Feb. 14, in room 207 of Crawford Hall.

Jahn will discuss ways to avoid becoming a crime victim by being aware of your personal surroundings, and will talk about how to keep yourself safe on campus, while commuting to and from campus, and off campus.


Jahn is a former Wisconsin police chief who has more than 20 years of experience with the Las Vegas Police Department and many years of experience in private security. He holds a baccalaureate degree in criminal justice from Michigan State University and a master's degree in public administration from University of Nevada-Las Vegas. He formerly taught at UNLV and the College of Southern Nevada. -LSSU-
