Posted: June 22nd, 2013

ALUMNI LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP – Lake Superior State University President Tony McLain, right, and LSSU Alumni Director Sue Fitzpatrick join Dave Thomas of LSSU's Alumni Association board of directors in creating a scholarship to benefit the children, or grandchildren, of Lake State Alumni Association members. An annual grant of at least $1,000 will go to a full-time LSSU student who has a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Parents or grandparents must be up to date on Association dues and have attended LSSU, LSSC, or Sault Branch of MTU/MCMT for two years of academic credit. Applicants must also submit a 250-word essay to the selection committee. The award is nonrenewable, but past recipients may reapply. For more information about this or any one of the more than 100 scholarships and awards available at LSSU, call the LSSU Foundation Office at 906-635-2665 or run a search for "LSSU foundation scholarships" on the Web.
