AWARD-WINNING ENTRY -- Lake Superior State University had an entry in the annual Cherry Festival parade in Traverse City for the second year in a row. The float, which featured engineering's "mini-baja" all-terrain vehicle and the LSSU Public Safety vehicle, was backed by a mobile version of Taffy Abel Ice Arena's foghorn and received the Ambassador's Award for best animation. More than two dozen alumni, students and LSSU employees volunteered to bring the float to Traverse.
