Redefining the Classroom

Laker Golf gets final word over Mother Nature

Posted: November 8th, 2013

INDOOR FORE – Members of the Lake Superior State University men's golf team — Zac Carson (l-r), Nathan Stump, and Dan Raicevich — hone their technique inside a golf practice room that will be formally opened later this month in the Norris Center. Coach Brent Pusch, who is also a Class A Teaching Professional with the PGA of Canada, worked with his students to convert the squash court into a weatherproof driving and putting range, among other things. LSSU's women's golf will benefit from the expansion as well. Squash and handball enthusiasts needn't fret; Norris has three remaining courts on-line for those sports as well. Run a Web search on LSSU golf to read more about the program. (LSSU/John Shibley)
