Redefining the Classroom

Art class does 3-D for United Way campaign

Posted: December 11th, 2013

THREE-D TEES – Lake Superior State University's Art History and Appreciation class (AT250) unleashes its flock of 3-D T-shirts on Dec. 9 before taking their final exam. Adjunct humanities professor Tracy Menard assigned the class to create three-dimensional sculpture inspired by the United Way's "Live United" campaign. Menard used the project to enhance and supplement what is typically a lecture-driven survey course. After a brief exhibit in the LSSU library, the shirts will be turned over to the United Way for a possible fundraiser. Stay tuned! (LSSU/John Shibley)
