Golf training facility open for business!

Posted: January 17th, 2014

**Open hose is TODAY, noon-5 p.m.**

EAGLES HAVE LANDED – Team members Andrew McKenney (left) and Dan Raicevich practice their skills in Lake Superior State University's newly completed golf training facility. The men's golf team, under the auspices of head coach Brent Pusch, converted a handball court in the James Norris Physical Education Center into the room, which includes a putting green, full-swing hitting bay, wedge play practice area, and Flightscope X2 stroke analysis system. Area sponsors (see wall) chipped in cash and other resources to make the project happen. Pusch and his crew are making the facility open to anyone who wants to practice their game or get one-on-one advice in junior development, club fitting, or Professional Golf Association instruction for all levels of play or age. McKenney is a senior from Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; Raicevich is from Shelby Township, Mich. (LSSU/John Shibley)
