Redefining the Classroom

A Battle of the Sexes, just in time for Valentines Day

Posted: February 10th, 2014

HORMONAL DISHARMONY? – Show a sweetie who's the boss by taking him/her to an all-out battle of the sexes hosted by LSSU's ComedySportz troupe this Friday, Feb.14. The burly men of ComedySportz will pit themselves against the lovely ladies of ComedySportz in a special Valentine's Day competition, each vying for the most laughs. Come out and cheer on your favorite chromosomes in the ultimate fight for bragging rights. A ComedySportz match is fast-paced, interactive and hilarious - funny enough for a bachelor party, yet clean enough for any grandmother. Two teams of student comedians will vie for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot, all the a leitmotif of beauty versus brawn. The audience will ultimately vote on which gender team, at least for a day, is the funniest. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. on the Arts Center stage. Admission is $5 for all ages. Squaring off in this preview photo are ComedySportz troupe members John Golob - a mechanical engineering major from Stevensville, Mich. - and Jaclyn Schierbeek, a biology major from Holland, Mich.
