Redefining the Classroom

Only ONE more week of SoHO!

Posted: February 24th, 2014

SIGNS OF SoHO – Promotional signs at Lake Superior State University's Easterday Avenue archway tout a redesigned South Hall classroom building. Construction will begin this spring, with the building opening in spring 2015 to take LSSU and the Lukenda School of Business to new heights of excellence in student learning opportunities and community engagement. South Hall's renovation includes six technology-integrated classrooms, three "white box" project spaces, four seminar rooms, three collaboration rooms, three lounges, a computer lab, and an extensive café and commons. Fundraising for the project — dubbed SoHO for the South Hall Opportunity Campaign — is quickly coming to a close so that construction can begin. The project received a major boost with the introduction of a “Bring It Home” matching fund. A donor group is doubling new gifts and pledges to the project until April 1. Join the LSSU Foundation to help bring home the SoHO Campaign and open the doors to a new South Hall classroom building. For details, contact the LSSU Foundation at (906) 635-2665 or run a Web search on LSSU South Hall. (LSSU/ John Shibley)
