LSSU parade season continues with Traverse City Cherry Festival

Posted: July 8th, 2014

CHERRY FEST WARM-UP – Lake Superior State University President Thomas Pleger greets well-wishers with Seamore, LSSU's official mascot, during the Independence Day parade in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Pleger's wife, Teresa, was helping out, also, and is seen here handing out Laker gear from the back of the float. LSSU pivots to the Traverse City Cherry Festival parade on Saturday, July 12, beginning at 11:15 a.m. The Plegers will be joining LSSU alumni on a float specially designed for the event. Contact Lake State's alumni office at 906-635-2831 if you wish to participate. Run a Web search on 2014 Cherry Festival parade for details about the event. (LSSU/John Shibley)
