LSSU Public Safety trains with Navy SEAL and Ultimate Survivor

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -- Members of Lake Superior State University’s Public Safety Office participated in a team-building and leadership workshop on Aug. 14 led by Jared Ogden, a former Navy SEAL and star of National Geographic’s “Ultimate Survival Alaska” TV show.

The training took place at LSSU-owned property on Sugar Island, where the criminal justice and fire science students and public safety officers underwent various challenges and exercises that focused on building teamwork and creating situational awareness, as well as problem solving.
