Award-winning piano duo performs in Arts Center TONIGHT

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.– The award-winning piano duo of the Mack Sisters will make a stop at Lake Superior State University’s Arts Center for a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1. The public is welcome.

Tickets, $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors, are available online at lssu.edu/artscenter or by calling the Norris Center box office at 906-635-2602.

The Mack Sisters have been recognized as accomplished piano soloists as well as an award-winning duo at many international competitions over the years. They have received both the first and Kodama Prizes at the International Piano Duo Competition in Tokyo, among many other awards at various competitions.

The sisters, Yuki and Tomoko, have been the featured artists at several festivals, including the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival in Michigan. They frequently accompany the faculty of the International Summer Music Festival in Naleczow, Poland.

The two have appeared on PBS television and radio, and have published their own recordings. In 2006, they were selected to be Steinway Artists, an honor reserved for accomplished pianists.
