Business alum gets LSSU honor in time for Christmas

Posted: December 1st, 2015

PREVIEW OF SPRING HONOR – Lake Superior State University business professor Dr. Madan Saluja, right, presents a letter notifying Randy Pingatore that he is the Lukenda School of Business Distinguished Alumni Award recipient for 2016. Joining Saluja in the presentation is Dr. David Roland Finley, dean of LSSU's Lukenda School of Business. Pingatore will formally receive his award during the school's annual graduating senior dinner set for April. Pingatore, a 1979 business administration/management graduate, has provided financial and personal support over the years for Laker Club, the Bud Cooper Endowment, men's basketball, Cager Club, the Cooper gym floor and Arts Center campaigns, as well as sponsorships of the President's Dinner and the School of Business graduate dinner. Along with former business partner Steve Madigan of Madigan/Pingatore Insurance Services, he recently donated $25,000 towards a state-of-the-art seminar room in LSSU's R.W. Considine Hall, which opens next fall to house the Lukenda School of Business. The room will be adjacent to the Lambda Sigma Beta Professional Business Fraternity conference room, which is fitting since Pingatore was a member of the fraternity during his time at Lake State.
