SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Three couples who are alumni of Lake Superior State University's Student Alumni Involved for Lake State (SAILS) have pledged lead gifts to a new endowment with the LSSU Foundation.

The core group is asking all SAILS alumni to meet a challenge made by Mark Jastorff and his wife Kari to endow a fund that supports the efforts of SAILS. The Jastorffs made a $5,000 match-available gift on the 10th anniversary of the group's founding. Mark Jastorff is the group's founder and advisor; Kari is an honorary SAILS member for her support through the years.

SAILS works closely as student ambassadors with the alumni, admissions, development and president's offices at LSSU.

If you are interested in supporting this or other initiatives at LSSU, contact the LSSU Foundation at www.lssu.edu/foundation, foundation@lssu.edu or call Dave Eitland at 906-635-2666.

For more information about SAILS, visit www.lssu.edu/sails or send e-mail to sails@lssu.edu. -LSSU-
