Structured Learning Assistance

Tutor assistance

Structured Learning Assistance (SLA) is an academic support program at LSSU for students in STEM courses (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). SLA features weekly study and practice workshops where students work with a student leader to master course content and improve study strategies. Student leaders will help students:

  • Clarify and review key concepts
  • Take better notes
  • Learn effective study strategies
  • Prepare for tests

SLA is being offered each semester and the schedule is posted in Anchor Access. In order to attend a workshop, students must register for one of the sessions.

SLA workshops are not graded and are free to all students registered. For more information on assistance that may be available to you, call (906) 635-2194, email, or stop by LBR 240.
