Frequently Asked Questions

Some evening activities include a visit to the Soo Locks, a show at the planetarium, a sunset trip to a Lake Superior beach for a bonfire and s’mores, and playing basketball, volleyball, disc golf, and much more at LSSU’s athletic complex. The Peacock Cove in the student center is also available for ping-pong, cornhole, games, pool table, and movies. On rainy days, campers might go bowling. Only a few outings, such as a visit downtown to get ice cream or fudge, come with a minimal fee.

A camp counselor will participate in all activities with the students. We provide 24-hour supervision. Lake Superior State University’s Public Safety maintains 24/7 security patrols and availability on campus; the Public Safety department also directs a fire drill on the first evening of arrival.

We will notify you and put you on a waiting list. Otherwise, we can help you find another summer camp offering that may interest you. All money will be refunded if an opening doesn’t become available by the start date for the summer camp offering you requested.
