Lake State Theatre Department Presents:

Two men performing The Importance of Being Earnest

The Importance of Being Earnest a play by Oscar Wilde

Lake State Theatre Professor, Thomas Meacham, was in the process of directing an exciting production of The Importance of Being Earnest for the mainstage of the Arts Center that was to be performed at the end of the Spring semester of 2020. Unfortunately, the live performance of the play was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The cast nevertheless wanted to be able to showcase their hard work, so Meacham decided to use Zoom (an online meeting platform) to record and edit some of the play’s highlights.

These highlights have been assembled as episodes, wonderfully capturing the wit and quirky characterizations of Oscar Wilde’s play.

Don’t forget to check out the Theatre Department’s website after to see what they are up to! You can find it here.
