Finals Week Extended Hours for Cisler/Food Service
6:00 AM until 11:30 PM
Need a place to study for finals in the middle of the night? At the Walker Cisler Center, the Rathskellar Computer Lab, Peacock Cove and meeting rooms will be open 24 hours through Wednesday, closing at midnight on Thursday. The Quarterdeck and the Galley open at 7 a.m. starting today through Friday, April 26. On Friday, April 26, Cisler is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Clothesline Project is a visual display of shirts with graphic messages and illustrations that have been designed by women affected by violence or by someone who loves a woman who has experienced violence or has died due to the violence. The shirts can be viewed by others as testimony to the problem of violence against women and to advocate putting an end to this violence. Use your own shirt or pick up a shirt at LSSU Counseling Services or the Sabin Room located in the Cisler Student Center and then share your story through messages and illustrations. Art supplies will be available at both locations. Blank shirts may be picked up at LSSU Counseling Services from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., April 15-19 or Sabin Room, Cisler lower level from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the same dates. Completed shirts may be dropped off at the LSSU Counseling Center or Office of Campus Life. Shirts will be on display April 15-22 in the lower level of the Walker Cisler Center and Fletcher Center lobby.
The Cisler Center invites you to beat the stress of finals week with free massages and lemonade! Daymakers Spa will be set up in the Peacock Cove for any students who would like to have their stresses massaged away. You can also be entered in a drawing for a free gift from Daymakers, so stop on by. First come, first served.
LSSU student Kristin Stempky is looking for your help to support her friend Zach Barber, an LSSU fire science student who has been diagnosed with cancer. While Zach is undergoing treatment in Ann Arbor, Kristin is inviting friends and fellow students to sign a T-shirt for Zach to show their support. Look for Kristin with the T-shirt and a banner for Zach from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22.
