Laker Friday

Description: Dig out your Laker attire, because every Friday is a Laker Friday, a celebration of the blue and gold, and an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to show their Laker pride by donning LSSU colors and apparel. Break out that Laker hoodie, blue sweater or Laker anchor earrings and show your colors!

Teacher Education Accreditation Council Live Broadcast

8:00 AM until 9:30 AM



All members of the university community are invited to sit in during a live broadcast of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council's Accreditation Review Panel, which is reviewing a recommendation to award initial accreditation to the LSSU teacher preparation programs. Visiting Writer Series presents Neil O'Boyle Connelly

2:00 PM until 9:00 PM


Description: Neil O'Boyle Connelly, author of four highly acclaimed novels, is the next guest in LSSU's Visiting Writer Series, will be on campus for a reading and master class on Friday. The public is welcome for the reading and reception, which will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the Walker Cisler Center's Crow's Nest. The special master class will be held at 2 p.m. in the LSSU Arts Center, room 215. The class is free and open to all aspiring writers. Seamore Shuttle

6:00 PM until 10:30 PM

Organization: Campus Life Office

Description: The Seamore Shuttle is a free service provided by the LSSU Campus Life Office that takes LSSU students downtown and to places on the business spur, including Varsity Cinemas. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Walker Cisler Center. Shuttle runs from 6-10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.
