- Dr. Robert Hildebrand and Dr. David Bauman were funded on a project led by Michigan Tech University (MTU) and supported by the Great Lakes Observing System. Robert and David will work with MTU to deploy a sensor system in the river outside of the Center for Freshwater Research and Education (CFRE) to test the ability to collect year-round data. This is an exciting new partnership and will provide students with opportunities and connections.
- Dr. Jon Doubek is a collaborator on a recently funded project by Michigan Sea Grant to study winter limnology. This research is filling a gap in our scientific understanding of lake systems during ice covered periods and it will expand our network of researchers and student opportunities.
- Dr. Amanda Suzzi-Simmons recently published a paper in Southeastern Naturalist titled First comprehensive biodiversity assessment in Green Glades Ranches West, Florida.
