Function and Responsibility
Under the direction of the Media Specialist, provide basic support in the Interactive TV (ITV) area mainly related to technical support and equipment operation located in the control room and classroom.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize and understand the MCU (multiple control unit) or Bridge so it can be used to make multiple point connections; setup and program multiple point connection utilizing appropriate software programs.

Learn and operate the Crestron unit that provides all programming associated with ITV and signal control; setup profiles within the program to make successful conferences; control and utilize the Knox switcher for routing that cannot be handled through the Crestron.

Provide general support to remote sites in relation to establishing and maintaining CODEC connections for ITV sessions utilizing LSSU equipment; coordinate any material that is needed in relation to ITV classes being offered by LSSU or held by other entities on university property.

Perform other general duties that may be associated with ITV or satellite delivery.
 
Qualifications
General understanding of audio, video and computer technology. Understanding or ability to grasp telecommunications technology; ability to work flexible hours, most in the evenings and on weekends, evidence of maturity and reliability.
 
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate physical fitness to maintain long hours and busy schedule; use of gross motor skills to perform organizational duties; use of fine motor skills in operation of keyboard equipment; problem solving ability; ability to understand and work with numbers; ability to see, hear, and speak with or without the use of aids to perform normal office tasks.
