Tutor Certification Program
The College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) is an international organization that certifies effective tutor training programs at colleges and universities. CRLA sets the standards by which tutors can become certified. There are three levels of certification available through the CRLA. Each level requires ten (10) hours of training and twenty-five (25) hours of contact tutoring. The LSSU Learning Center requires that tutors and SI leaders complete at least level 1 (standard) training/certification for promotion. For more information check out the CRLA homepage.
