Press Release Requests

The Marketing Department is here to help promote your department’s events, faculty accomplishments, and student achievements. Our office is responsible for sending out all non-athletic press releases and also provides content for our website, official social media, as well as printed and digital marketing materials. Please use the submission form below to request coverage.

Requests should be submitted at least six weeks before the start of an event to provide time to review, assign, write, edit, and receive approval from the proper channels to send to the media. This timeline also allows us to send information to the media four weeks in advance of your event, which will in turn allow time for the proper coverage from the media. If information is not provided at least six weeks prior to your event, the Marketing Department may not be able to provide coverage.

Photography Requests

Please provide details such as date, location, subject (or event), time the photographer is expected to arrive and depart, a department contact person and telephone number, and other special instructions.

Photo requests should be made at least three weeks prior to the event.

Original photography services are available for assignments that have an emphasis on academic and campus life. Photography that represents the university brand and key messages are priority photography opportunities. Marketing Communications provides limited photo coverage of university events. Individuals are encouraged to use their cell phone cameras for social media posts.  For large events and/or where high quality print photography is required, we recommend the hiring a professional photographer.
