LSSU Foundation Recognizes Local Educators with Distinguished Citizen Award
On September 20, a Rudyard, Mich. couple was honored with an award at the President’s Circle Reception at Lakes Superior State University. Robert and Sally Wiles were recognized with the Dr. Donald and Catherine Finlayson Distinguished Citizen Award, presented by LSSU President Rodney S. Hanley at the annual donor recognition event. The award is presented to individuals who have enjoyed success in their profession and community, and who are strong advocates of the University, its programs, faculty, staff, and students.

Luke Brcic Discusses Internship at Continental
Luke Brcic, junior Mechanical Engineering major from Lennon, MI, presented to faculty in the School of Engineering and Technology about his summer 2019 internship at Continental.

LSSU Summer 2019 Regional Center Graduates
Seven area residents have earned bachelor’s degrees from Lake Superior State University (LSSU). Graduates achieved their degrees through LSSU's Escanaba/Iron Mountain Regional Center which offers baccalaureate degree programs for students on Bay College campuses.

MI Army & Air National Guard Renew Tuition Agreement with LSSU
Michigan Army and Air National Guard renewed their tuition agreement, now in its ninth year, with Lake Superior State University. This partnership encourages active drilling members to seek degrees at LSSU. Essentially, the program takes the stipend active duty members receive through the National Guard Federal Tuition Assistance program, which is intended to partially cover the costs of taking college courses, and accepts that stipend as full payment for tuition.
