No. 20 Lake Superior State hockey is hosting WCHA Playoff games for the first time since joining the WCHA in 2013-14.

Fourth-seeded Lake Superior State (21-11-2, 16-10-2-0 WCHA) is set to host fifth-seeded Bemidji State (15-15-6, 13-11-4-2 WCHA) in a best-of-three quarterfinals series on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday (if necessary) at 4 p.m. at Taffy Abel Arena.

Tickets may be purchased at the Norris Center Ticket Office or online for $14 per ticket. The Lake Superior State athletic ticket office at the James C. Norris Center will be open for extended hours from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. For additional ticket information, call (906) 635-2601.

Students can acquire tickets free of charge at Bud Cooper Gymnasium before each game. The doors to Bud Cooper Gymnasiums will open two hours prior to each game for students to line up. Ticket distribution will begin one hour before each game. Students will need to have their Lake Superior State ID scanned to obtain a ticket.

The 2018-19 Laker hockey team, which has been ranked in the top 20 of nine consecutive USCHO Polls, is ranked No. 20. This season, the Lakers have eclipsed 20 wins for the first time since the 2006-07 season, recorded the longest winnings streak since 1996-97 (seven games), swept Ferris State in a road series for the first time since 1993-94, swept Michigan Tech in a series for the first time since 1983-84, have won 14 WCHA Player of Week and five WCHA Player of the Month awards, have two Hobey Baker Award nominees and won the first Great Lakes Invitational Championship in program history.
