Offering information and resources for equipment, material and service acquisitions
The Purchasing Department reports to the Vice President of Finance. Our mission is to offer information and resources for our university community in the areas of equipment, material and service acquisitions, surplus property management and the Purchasing Card (p-card) program. We also oversee the university mail services for the United States Postal Service.
Our goal is to develop and employ purchasing approaches with our university community to deliver the highest professional standards, services, and practices while providing the information and means to assist our campus to become more efficient by utilizing all resources effectively.
The Purchasing Department provides needed goods and services based on quantity, quality, service, delivery and competitive pricing, while insuring the polices and procedures of the university are properly administered to comply with federal, state and local directives. Our office maintains a list of suppliers for our university community. Should a consultation with a supplier be desired, we request that you contact us first to schedule a meeting.
