Nov 8th Featured Student Delight Muvuti

Delight is our November 8th, 2018 featured student of the week.  Congratulations Delight on being recognized by your professors for being an outstanding student.

Where is your home town?
My home town is…wherever my parents are; they are missionaries so it’s afforded me the chance to live in different towns. They are currently serving in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, although I am originally from Harare, Zimbabwe.

What year in college are you?
I’m in my senior year!

What is your favorite part of the LSSU Kinesiology Department?
I like that most of my Kinesiology classes are small; this allows the lab sections to be more involved and interactive.

What drew you to a degree in Kinesiology?
I was drawn to a Kinesiology Degree because I want to be an Occupational Therapist; I believe a Kinesiology degree will lay a strong foundation for my aspirations.

What is your favorite class for the Fall 2018 semester?
I  actually have two favorite classes this semester:
PSYCH 155: Lifespan Development
KINS 346: Therapeutic Exercise Rehabilitation

Once you graduate, what is the next step for you – will you attend a graduate school or start applying for jobs?
Ideally, after graduating, I want to do my Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy (OTD) and perhaps launch a photography business!

Once you graduate, what is your choice career?
I want to be an Occupational Therapist and a freelance photographer.

If you could give any student one piece of advise for their Freshman year what would it be?
Work hard, play hard, and be nice!
