Where is your home town?
Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. I am a commuter.
I am currently a sophomore at Lake Superior State University.
What is your favorite part of the LSSU Kinesiology Department?
I love how close of a relationship I have with the professors of the Kinesiology Department. The ability to have personable faculty that truly care about your success is very beneficial. They are able to make class enjoyable regardless of the difficulty.
What drew you to a degree in Kinesiology?
Growing up I’ve always been a fitness advocate and am always interested in furthering my studies on the human body. With a sports background I thought that it was fitting to study a program that I have a very high interest in as it will allow me to be as successful as I possibly can be.
What is your favorite class for the fall 2018 semester?
This semester, my favourite class is Personal Fitness Training (KINS 265) with Dr. Statt. It is a class that I can extensively apply to my own fitness regime and Dr. Statt does a phenomenal job with engaging the class and keeping lectures exciting and insightful.
Once you graduate, what is the next step for you?
After graduating with a Kinesiology major and a Biochemistry minor, I will hopefully be attending medical school either in the United States or Canada. I have yet to pinpoint too many options, but I am most interested in Michigan State University in the US, and Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) in Canada.
Once you graduate, what is your choice career?
My career of choice would to become a pediatrician.
