Lake Superior State University’s Recreation Club is hosting a Thursday-evening charity disc golf tournament for both campus and the public on Oct. 12. The event will benefit American Red Cross relief efforts for victims of hurricanes Harvey, Maria, and Irma. Registration is 5 p.m. at the Regional Outdoor Center, located towards the north end of the Norris Center’s first-floor hallway. The entry fee is $5 per person, or $10 per team. Individuals will be matched up into two-person teams. Start time is 5:30 p.m. Students with Lake Superior State University’s Recreation Club created the nine-hole disk golf course that meanders throughout LSSU’s 115-acre campus in 2010. Complimentary game cards and maps are always available in the Regional Outdoor Center office, room 122, or click https://www.lssu.edu/university-recreation/discgolf/ to download course map and disk rental information.
