Teacher interns eagerly hit the classrooms

CLASS OF 2013B – Lake Superior State University teacher interns - ten elementary education students, and six secondary education students - take a break from on-campus work for an impromptu class photo with Sault Ste. Marie's International Bridge as a backdrop. This semester's cohort has seven Canadian students. Out of nine Michigan student teachers, five are placed in downstate schools; four are in the Sault Area Schools. LSSU student teachers complete a full semester of teaching experience under the mentorship of effective K-12 classroom teachers, with support and coaching provided by university supervisors.
