University teams up with Michigan Works! for workforce retraining

WORKFORCE RETOOLING – Lake Superior State University mechanical laboratory engineer John Coullard demonstrates how to measure tolerances on a milled product during an evening course held April 18 in LSSU's machine shop. Lake State has teamed up with Michigan Works! to offer a 13-week certificate program in manufacturing processes. The program is part of a quick-response initiative to train workers as demand for manufacturing skills experiences an uptick.
