Sports marketing class organizing golf scramble to benefit kids

KIDS FUND GOLF BENEFIT – Lake Superior State University students in Professor Valerie Filek's sports and events marketing class is organizing a charity golf scramble to benefit the Chippewa County Department of Human Services program, Cares for Kids Fund. Tee-off is 10 a.m., Oct. 19, at the Tanglewood Marsh Golf Course in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Proceeds will help provide clothing, diapers, and sports equipment to families in need, as well as support programs that DHS sponsors, such as Shop with a Hero, Mystic Lake Summer Camp, and Project Backpack.
