Society for Human Resource Management Meeting

Description: LSSU human resources director Marta Warren will give a presentation on careers in human resources, plus answer any questions students may have about the field of HR. Her presentation is geared towards students interested in HR careers, joining the new campus chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, or learning how to become certified in the field of human resources management.

Alumnus Steven Lien: An Amazing Career in Aerospace

Description: A Lake Superior State University engineering alumnus who worked 33 years in aerospace before retiring from Boeing in 2010 is making a visit to campus April 2-3 for a public talk and special working sessions with engineering faculty and students. Steven Lien, a 1977 graduate in electrical engineering technology, will present a public presentation titled "An Amazing Career in Aerospace: An all-encompassing adventure in technology over 33 years at Boeing." During the day, he will speak to several engineering classes and meet with faculty from the College of Business and Engineering and staff from LSSU's Product Development Center. He will share insights into technologies that straddle engineering and business disciplines in many unexpected ways. Read more at
