As our health care delivery system is trying to meet societal needs, the profession is growing and changing.  The knowledge that you will obtain - about human beings, nurses, health and environment (our conceptual framework), will equip you to meet the challenges and changes of the future. The School of Nursing is committed to supporting the research and scholarship mission of Lake Superior State University, while continuing to offer an outstanding didactic and clinical program.

The School of Nursing Handbook (pdf), revised yearly and accessible from the School of Nursing web page, is designed to orient you to the policies and procedures affecting your nursing education and your successful progression in the major.

During the two-day program, the LSSU students observed WSU students in their clinical practice at Detroit Receiving Hospital, and also toured the largest homeless shelter in the City of Detroit. Applications for the BSN Program are due March 9, 2010 by 5pm.

The required TEAS and Critical Thinking test information can also be found in the application packet (see link above). These tests must be completed prior to the application submission deadline.
