How to Contact the IACUC
Comments and Concerns
Lake Superior State University’s IACUC is responsible for the animal care and use program of the institution and does so by scheduling regular inspections, investigating comments and concerns about the ethical treatment of animals, and regularly reviewing and monitoring this program. Submissions are sent to the Committee immediately and are a valuable resource. We take our time in reading these comments and concerns and will address them as soon as possible.
Because the responsibility for compliance with regulations that affect the care and use of animals ultimately lies with investigators, it is important that they have a working knowledge of the basic regulatory requirements. This web page offers brief descriptions of the primary organizations and/or regulatory agencies responsible for setting and enforcing policies involving animal research.
