Campus Life

You are here: Home / Campus Life / Get Involved

Get Involved

The best way to feel connected to campus and get the most from your experience here is to get involved. LSSU has many student clubs and organizations as well as many campus activities and events. Being involved encourages and advances your development on all levels: intellectual, cultural, spiritual, and social. As a result of your involvement, you will gain knowledge, skills, and experience in leadership, communication, problem-solving, group development and management, budgeting and finance, presentation and public speaking, and much more!

Why Get Involved?

  • Work Play Balance

Part of a healthy life means being a balanced person. Getting involved on campus helps to balance out your life and relieves stress from classes which results in an overall more satisfying college experience.

  • Finish Your Degree

You want to graduate, and we want you to graduate too! Some studies show that students that get involved are more likely to graduate.

  • Expand Your Circle

Getting Involved on campus helps you meet people and make friends with those who have similar interests. You are likely to find people who share the same interests, goals, and values as yourself. This reinforces your own interests and ideas, which leads to great self-satisfaction and feelings of purpose.
