The management major is designed to provide students with a broad background in business by presenting courses covering the functional areas of business. This management degree program prepares students for human resource and leadership positions in business and non-profit organizations.

Students who complete the Bachelor of Science Business Administration – Management degree at LSSU meet the requirements established by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) to take its certification exam either as a college student (SHRM Assurance of Learning Exam) or the Professional in Human Resource (PHR) Exam.
Students can also join the SHRM Student Chapter at LSSU to gain additional professional experience and connect with other human resource professionals in the field. The student club helps prepare students to sit for the national exam that verifies to employers that students have the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the expected tasks in Human Resources. This field has an annual projected job growth rate of 8-14% through 2022 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Lake Superior State University’s Lukenda School of Business has presented its 14th Distinguished Alumni Award to John Berry, chief investor of Angel Investing and a governing board member of Confluence Energy, based in Kremmling, Colo. Berry accepted his honor during the school’s annual graduate recognition dinner at the Sault Golf and Country Club..
“I am very honored and humbled to be named a distinguished alumni,” Berry said. “Lake Superior prepared me very well academically, taught me to be the best you can be, and to not cut corners.”
The Lukenda School of Business at Lake Superior State University has been granted initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a leading accreditation association in business education.
