The LSSU Music Department is offering the following ensembles for Students, Faculty, and Staff to participate in during the 2022-2023 Academic School Year! All ensembles do NOT require an audition. Students are encouraged to create their own chamber groups and perform with these chamber groups. From trombone choir rock bands, chamber groups allow more student collaboration in the music world.

The Flagship ensemble on campus, the pep band meets Tuesdays and Thursday nights from 8pm-9pm. The Pep Band is one of our most inspirational clubs! As a member you are able to be a part of all the action at hockey, basketball, and volleyball games as you play awesome tunes to engage the crowd.  The Pep Band is also an intricate part of campus events such as Laker Palooza, Great Lake State Weekend, Open Houses, Orientation, and a pregame parade through campus before D1 Hockey games.  Performances at NCAA D1 Men’s Hockey, ACHA Men’s and Women’s Hockey, Men’s and Women’s Basketball.

New this year, the jazz band meets Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm-8pm. Students will be able to participate in an end of semester LSSU Music Department concert along with other ensembles.

A continuation of the Laker Symphonic Wind Ensemble combined with the community band. Symphonic Band meeting Monday nights from 7pm-9pm. Members will be able to participate in an end of semester LSSU Music Department concert along with other ensembles.

New this year, this choir is open to community members as well. Concert Choir meets Wednesday nights from 7pm-9pm. Members of concert choir will be able to participate in an end of semester LSSU Music Department concert along with other ensembles.
