Campus Life Drag Show

Description: Get ready for a night of fabulous performances and dazzling costumes! LSSU presents the ultimate drag show experience! Enjoy the electrifying energy of national acts and local acts for an event full of music and laughter. Doors open at 7:30 pm, so come prepared to party the night away.
This show is Mature Content and requires anyone under the age of 17 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Parking will be available in K-Lot, E-Lot
Interprofessional Simulation

Description: Lake Superior State University will be hosting an Interprofessional Simulation on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the LSSU Arts Center. The Interprofessional team includes healthcare professionals from multiple disciplines of nursing, emergency medical services, fire science, and criminal justice.
LSSU invites the community to attend and experience theย Interprofessional Simulation as a standardized participant for the outside crowd or watch a live stream from the Arts Center Theater. We ask the community to arrive by 10:00 A.M for the experience to begin at 10:30 A.M.
NO Building ACCESS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER 11 AM
Parking will be available in E-Lot.

Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra

Description:
The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra will be performing a special concert, Terra Nostra, thatย pays homage to our rich Native American culture andย the Great Lakes region. The concertย will feature three distinct pieces that will take the audience on a journey through the region’sย history and traditions: Gwyneth Walkerโs Great Lakes Cantata, a choral and orchestral workย that is inspired by the beauty of the five lakes and celebrates the region’s natural wonders;ย Jerod Impichchaachaaha Tateโs Spirit Chief Names the Animal People that recounts anย Okanogan Indian story about how Coyote retained his name, given by the Great Spirit Chief;ย and Terra Nostra, a 30-minute multimedia symphony composed by Christophe Changard, which is a call to actionย about ways to preserve our region’s natural resources.
Admission to the concert is free, which is made possible through the generosity of the LSSU Issues and Intellect Fund. However, for those looking to elevate their experience, VIP tickets are available for $50, which provides priorityย seating, reserved parking, access to a VIP Lounge for a patronโs cocktail hour,ย and a special meet-and-greet with conductor Libor Ondras and composer of Terra Nostra, Christophe Changard. Description:
This will be our 3rd Annual LSSU Film Festival at the Arts Center. The festival will feature student, faculty, and staff directed short films developed in collaboration with LSSUโs Filmmakers Club, the Theatre Program, and members from the university at large. We will be screening films from the following categories (and audience members will decide who wins each category):
