Scholarship Sign-up for LSSU Achievement Scholarship

The LSSU Achievement Scholarship is intended to benefit students who are not typically eligible for a scholarship due to earning less than stellar grades or not performing academically as well as they might have, but have shown substantial academic improvement.  This award is for current students with at least one year (26 credits earned) of LSSU study but not more than 124 credits, who have achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The LSSU Achievement Scholarship provides an opportunity to recognize students who have shown improvement, have overcome adversity, and/or have achieved an important goal in their lives while attending LSSU.  Entries will be reviewed by the Retention Committee.  Letters of support from faculty and staff are welcome and can be sent directly to the Retention Office.

This scholarship sign-up is open from now until March 26, 2010.  The award will be announced on April 12, 2010.

  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
  • Any major
  • Preference to student who has demonstrated scholastic achievement and/or GPA improvement during their LSSU experience. Submit essay below, in text box, or deliver to Retention Office.
  • Financial need is a consideration (2009-10 FAFSA must be on file)
  • Letters of support from LSSU faculty and staff are welcome and can be sent directly to the Retention Office
