Continuing Education for Teachers

Lake Superior State University and Virtual Education Software, inc. (VESi) have partnered to provide continuing education for teaching professionals. Graduate credit may be earned towards renewal of either provisional or professional certification. For the convenience of busy professionals, courses may be taken online.

What is the cost?

Our special topics VESi courses are affordable. Please refer to our Tuition and Fees page for more information. If you are needing to earn matriculated graduate credit, you will also need to register for a corresponding graduate level course.

Can I earn matriculated graduate credit?

Yes, you can earn matriculated graduate credit if you register for both the special topics VESi course and a corresponding  graduate level course.

What is the grading criteria?

You must earn a minimum score of 80% on your certificate of completion and complete all writing assignments to pass the course.  No grade will be submitted for partial completion of course assignments, regardless of partial score. Letter grades will be assigned by VESi, however, you will receive either CR (credit) or NC (no credit) on your LSSU transcript.

When do courses begin and end?

Our continuing education courses are designed to be convenient for busy professionals to take at their own pace.  Courses must be taken and completed within our Semester Dates.
