Laker Fridays are an opportunity for LSSU alumni, students, employees, friends and area businesses to show their support of Lake Superior State University by donning LSSU colors and apparel. Whether it's a blue suit coat, a gold sweater, a Laker hoodie or a pair of Laker anchor earrings, put it on come Friday, because every Friday is Laker Friday.
The LSSU Board of Trustees will meet in regular session today. In addition to remarks from the president and board chair, the meeting will include reports from committees on personnel, academic affairs, finance, student affairs, and development. The board will also hear a report on LSSU's collaboration with Sault United, an organization of Sault governmental organizations, businesses and community members interested in helping Sault Ste. Marie become more of a college town. Members of the public are always welcome to speak at the meeting during public comment periods at the beginning and the end.
The Seamore Shuttle is a free service provided by the LSSU Campus Life Office that takes LSSU students downtown and to places on the business spur such as Family Video, Big Lots and other stores in the Sault Plaza, as well as Varsity Cinemas. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Walker Cisler Center. Shuttle runs from 6-10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
