"As a University Supervisor for LSSU's Department of Education, I enjoy a unique vantage point from which I can assess the Education Department's efforts. I see the end result, the education graduates who have completed four years of classroom learning. These men and women have been placed in our local schools under the mentorship of tenured teachers to apply their knowledge in a real-time setting and complete their educational experience. These interns are some of the finest students with whom I have ever had the pleasure to work. They are exemplary in their knowledge base and admirable in their teaching skills. Their mentor teachers, with whom they work, are generous with their compliments. Following the completion of their internships, they go on to accept teaching positions and excel at those as well. School principals recognize the merit of Lake State's educational curriculum, as well as the high quality of its interns, and are ready to hire them as vacancies occur. Many have been placed locally; and it's a pleasure to revisit them in their new 'homes' and see for myself what a great teaching job they are doing. These interns have LSSU's Department of Education to thank for their knowledge base. In conclusion, by the evidence of its final product, the interns themselves, LSSU's Education Department is not only getting the job done of providing our community with excellent education graduates, they are doing that job very well, indeed."
